the storyline is / a film about a young woman leaving in Sydney, coming from Perth whose backgroung is gambling but has not yet realised the extent of Australia's problem.  She discovers this strange world at the panther's and in mildura and tries to discover through other gambles like opal mining or gold who are the kind of people who dare living in the middle of nowhere. As she get's back home to perth, she returns to what is the essence of gambling in Australia, horse racing, her father's world. There she will hear her father explaining that the real gamble is coming to Australia and it was quite an adventure for the older generations. And the film ends as we see young men betting on computers on make believe horse track and shots of the panthers seen at the beginning, with this thought australia is reacting to the pokies but can you fight a disease that as taken epidemic proportions and because whether we like it or not money and hope to get more is the name of the game.
